2023 CRITERIA FOR THE LCLAA SCHOLARSHIP AWARD

1. The applicant must be a graduating senior of a Greater Lansing Area High School and have at least a 2.5 grade point average or higher.

2. The applicant must be accepted to an accredited 2 or 4-year public/state college or vocational school.

3. Applicant must fill out the application completely, accurately, and legibly and provide letter of college acceptance to be considered.

4. Applicants must submit a letter of recommendation from a non-family member.

5. Students awarded the scholarship will be notified by email.

6. The scholarship recipient(s) and parent(s) or guardian(s) must attend the LCLAA Awards program to be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at UAW Local 652, located at 426 Clare Street, Lansing, MI 48917.

7. Scholarship recipient must make every effort to attend the awards program: However, in the event they are not able to attend, recipient will need to contact the Scholarship Committee Chairperson for an exception. Student must submit
letter stating reasonable cause for absence.

8. Scholarships are NON-Renewable and are given on a one-time basis.

9. Application and essay must be postmarked no later than 5:00 p.m., on Saturday, April 1, 2023.
