Community Services Program

UFCW 951 Community Services Program

The UFCW 951 Community Services Program aims to connect members who are facing hardship with the resources they need to help them overcome their situation.

UFCW 951 partners with the United Way and AFL-CIO Labor Liaisons, along with other state and federal agencies, to assist members in need with issues including, but not limited to:

  • Housing
  • Child Care
  • Transportation
  • Food Insecurity
  • Substance Abuse
  • Health Care
  • Utility Shut-off Notice
  • Mental Health Services
  • Domestic Violence

Many factors determine the level and type of assistance available. Perreira will work with each individual member to direct them to the agency or program that would serve them best.

Need Assistance Navigating State Benefits?

The UFCW 951 Community Services Program coordinator works with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) to help members navigate MDHHS services through the MI Bridges online portal.

As a Navigation partner, UFCW 951 can assist members who are also clients with MDHHS by helping them complete the MI Bridges application, find resources, answer questions, keep track of important deadlines and coordinate with their case worker. Members can connect with the UFCW 951 Navigator by logging in to MI Bridges and selecting the ‘Connect with a Navigator’ link that is on the bottom of every page and entering the CP ID: 7449-002.

Members who need assistance can contact UFCW 951’s Community Services Coordinator, Alice Perreira, at 1.800.999.0951 ext. 123 to receive a confidential referral to agencies or programs that may be available to help with their circumstances.
